A powerful, dynamic and invigorating workshop.
All movement originate from the core. Understanding how to move well from the core will improve your movement as well as your circulation, general well being and Pranic flow.
In this dynamic and challenging workshop we shall explore the core and its importance to the practice of Yoga. This workshop will teach you drills to improve your skills not only to strengthen your core but also to integrate this into your Asana practice.
From standing postures to twists, forward and back bends, side extensions, arm balancing and inversions, the core governs the movement of the spine and plays a key role in approaching these postures safely, effectively and deeply.
We will move beyond the practice of Asana to see how the integration of the core is essential to the practice of Bandhas and Pranayama.
Understanding how to activate the bandhas will not only open up the door to the practice of Pranayama it will also help to create an internal support which is essential in all forms of balancing and inversions but most importantly to the internal practices of yoga.
During the course of this workshop we will combine teaching and practice with time for questions.
